Hamburger University: Designing a Learning Campus
McDonald’s
Hamburger University (HU), McDonald’s global leadership development program, opened its newest campus in Russia with a bold new concept that blends education, comfort, and brand storytelling. The interior design takes a modern-eclectic approach, crafting a campus-like environment where trainees feel inspired and at ease. Domestic design cues—such as unconventional framing, warm materials, and informal layout—enhance the approachable feel. Throughout the space, McDonald’s legacy is quietly celebrated with graphics that reflect the brand’s history, Ray Kroc’s entrepreneurial story, and heartfelt testimonials, transforming HU into a meaningful physical brand touchpoint.
