Walker’s Bar:
Adapted Luxury in a Dark Market
Johnnie Walker
In Turkey, where alcohol advertising is prohibited, Johnnie Walker’s presence needed to be felt without being named. The result: Walker’s Bar — a 139 m² space in Istanbul subtly infused with Black Label’s DNA while adapting to local cultural aesthetics and regulations.
Though Black Label typically embraces a more street-style or casual tone, this environment was refined and elevated, drawing inspiration from Turkish tastes in upscale hospitality. Warm finishes, layered textures, and bespoke lighting strike a balance between approachability and sophistication, delivering a premium brand experience that respects both the market’s legal limitations and its consumer expectations.
